More Than Forever (More Than, #4) is the story of Lucy and Cameron. And I just adore that about the More Than series! Each couple have their own book(s), but they all feature heavily in every single books, because they all play huge, integral roles in one another lives. What makes these books is the surrounding characters. It follows a group of friends throughout high-school and college, whilst they overcome heartbreak, loss and tragedy, discovering friendship and love along the way. This series is about pure, uninterrupted, squishy-feels, heart-warming romance. So I had high hopes for More Than Forever, and it didn’t let me down. I read the first three books in this series whilst I wasn’t blogging, and loved them. There is a promise so sure it can never lie. There is a love so fierce it cannot be measured.

Although this is book #4 in the Werelock Evolution series timeline, it was written to work as a STANDALONE, so it is not necessary to have read the trilogy that precedes No Light. And the greatest threat to my daughter’s life definitely wasn’t supposed to start kissing me–after I’d just shot him five times. Or start stripping the rest of his clothes off. He was never supposed to turn around and see me. I wasn’t supposed to get distracted by his scent … or by the sight of his perfectly sculpted naked ass cheeks on display. I had a clean shot at him while his back was turned and his pants were down. This approach put Carson at odds with the fledgling organic movement, which totally rejected synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Activist and author Rachel Carson, whose book ‘Silent Spring’ triggered a reassessment of pesticide use, testifies before a Senate Government Operations Subcommittee in Washington, D.C., June 4, 1963. She “favored a restrained use of pesticides, but not a complete elimination, and did not oppose judicious use of manufactured fertilizers,” writes Harvard University sustainability scholar Robert Paarlberg. Against absolutesĪlthough the chemical industry attacked “Silent Spring” as anti-science and anti-progress, Carson believed that chemicals had their place in agriculture. These articles from The Conversation’s archive spotlight ongoing questions about pesticides and their effects. “Silent Spring” is widely viewed as an inspiration for the modern environmental movement. "A Night to Remember" was only his second book. Having a penchant for history from childhood, he attended Princeton University where he majored in history, and later graduated from Yale Law School, but ultimately joined a New York-based advertising agency. He was evidently aware of the sinking of the Titanic on that voyage, as he stated that even at age ten, he tried to imagine "such a huge thing" sinking. He reported that his interest in all things Titanic was initially sparked when traveling on the great liner's sister ship, the Olympic, as a boy. Walter Lord's personal history is also a fascinating one. It is indeed the story of a single night, long ago, but not so far in the distant past that it is incomprehensible to modern-day readers. It creates a story that readers can follow, in excruciating detail, concerning the events of that tragic night. It was really the first attempt to piece together the fractured mosaic fragments of survivor testimony, both as recorded in the wake of the Congressional hearings, and from the recollections of people, some decades after the tragedy, to provide a running narrative of what happened that night. This extraordinary book is still the pre-emminent account of the demise of the Titanic, even over a century after the event occurred. |
